A call for proposals is going out for community projects that impact seniors looking for funding for the upcoming year.
Applications for funding from the New Horizons for Seniors program can be made until June 15.
Hastings-Lennox and Addington MP Mike Bossio says to make the process easier, a pair of application workshops are being held in two parts of the riding.
One is being held on Monday June 4 at the Lennox and Addington Seniors Outreach Centre in Napanee, from 10 a.m. to noon.
The other is being held in Madoc, at Arts Centre Hastings, between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. the same day.
If you’re interested, contact Bossio’s constituency office at 1-866-471-3800 to RSVP.
Eligible organizations or projects could receive up to $25,000 in funding through the program.
Additionally, organizations that haven’t benefitted from the NHSP over the past five years could get up to $5,000 as part of a new small grants pilot project.
