Building permit value was up in the City of Belleville last month compared to April of last year.
Seventy-five permits were issued last month for a value of just over $7 million.
In April of 2017, 74 building permits were issued, but the value was lower at a little over $5.8 million.
Permits for 28 new residential units were issued last month.
Meanwhile, from January through April this year, the total value of building permits in Belleville was $21.5 million, down from $29.5 million for the same period last year.
