The Wellington Dukes rebounded strong from an opening night loss at the 2018 Dudley Hewitt Cup in Dryden.
After falling 4-1 to the host Ice Dogs on Tuesday, the Dukes beat the Thunder Bay North Stars by the same scoreline on Wednesday afternoon, to even their tournament record at 1-1.
Bryce Yetman and Mitch Martan each had a goal and an assist, while Mason Snell had two helpers.
Frankie Pucci and Zach Uens chipped in with single goals, with Dan Panetta, Ben Evans and Colin Doyle also adding assists.
Jonah Capriotti made 18 saves on 19 shots for the Dukes, who will take on the Cochrane Crunch at 3:30 eastern time on Thursday.
The team with the best record after the round robin will earn a bye straight to Saturday’s final, the next two best teams will play a semi-final on Friday and the team finishing fourth will be eliminated.
