We have an update on a pair of fires on Whites Road over the past few days.
The first blaze was Saturday afternoon around 5:30 p.m. at 387 Whites Road.
Fire Chief John Whalen says creosote was in the chimney and there were combustibles near the fireplace as well.

Damage was approximately $400,000.
Meantime, the second fire happened Monday afternoon at 565 Whites Road.
Chief Whalen says the Electrical Safety Authority and his crews were investigating Tuesday, and they believe the cause was a pot light.
Damage is estimated at $300,000.
There were no injuries in either blaze.
