Today, May 1, is the first day that people wishing to run for municipal council can officially file papers stating their intention to run in the October election.
And incumbent Belleville councillor Paul Carr has wasted no time.
He will run for his second term as one of two councillors for Thurlow ward.
He will be releasing a platform in the coming weeks on a website, paulcarr.ca.
