Expect some delays this afternoon if you’re travelling on Dundas Street East in Belleville and the eastbound 401, just outside of the city.
Our newsroom has received multiple reports of a CP Rail train blocking the crossing at Dundas Street East and Haig Road.
Mallory McCredie, Advisor Media Relations for CP, says around 2:35 p.m. a train experienced mechanical issues near Belleville.
Train crews were able to address the issue but not before causing significant traffic snarls.
Meanwhile, there are also reports of construction causing a heavy backlog of traffic just east of Shannonville Road, to almost the Wyman’s Road overpass.
If you can, use an alternate route to get around either of those delays.
