There were a few grass fires yesterday in the Quinte region. There was no damage to structures.
People are again reminded to be very careful when burning outside and to apply for a burn permit from your local fire department before you do.
Watch what you do with cigarette butts as well.
Meanwhile, a van burned up just outside the village of Marmora around 10 o’clock Sunday night.
No one was injured.
