The scene of a crash involving multiple tractor trailers has been cleared, east of Belleville.
OPP reported the incident, between Cannifton Road and Mitchell Road on the eastbound 401, just before 6:00 this morning.
Reports to Quinte News say significant amounts of diesel fuel had spilled from one of the trucks and that the Ministry of Environment has been notified.
The right lane on the eastbound side of the highway was blocked until about 9:30 this morning, but has been reopened.
No serious injuries were reported.
