Sometimes it’s all about being in the right place at the right time, and for Doreen Pulver it couldn’t be more true.
Prince Edward County Council recognized Mike Bond on Tuesday night for his efforts in saving Doreen’s life back in December.
Bond says he just acted instinctively and after working as a paramedic for 46 years, he calls it one of his best saves.
Pulver says she doesn’t remember much about the incident itself.
She says she was told at the hospital by the doctor on duty that it was Bond’s actions that allowed her to be there talking to him.
Mayor Robert Quaiff says it’s invaluable to have someone like Bond in the municipality.
Bond received a standing ovation by councillors and those in attendance at the meeting.
