The annual Quinte Trash Bash is just a couple of weeks away.
The region-wide clean up event, now in its 18th year, is being held on Saturday April 21 in Belleville, Quinte West, Prince Edward County and Tyendinaga.
Anyone who wants to take part just has to decide what area they’d like to clean up and register online, or get in touch with a Trash Bash representative and then pick up their supplies ahead of the clean-up day.
Workplaces, service groups and schools can also take part in the group challenge between April 16 and 20 and be recognized for their community service.
Trash Bash is also a great chance for high school students to get their volunteer hours.
Last year 1,600 volunteers filled nine large dumpsters and 24 recycling carts with materials collected from roadsides, parks and ditches.
