The Quinte West Corporate Finance Committee will meet on Monday evening and there are a number of good news items on the agenda.
The city has a 10 year high of almost 36.7 million dollars in various reserve funds and accounts.
The report says city reserves increased by 2.2 million dollars thanks to savings in winter control fire and building department budgets.
Winter control (plowing, sanding) was under budget by $250,000 with the money being moved into a winter control reserve fund.
Another report being presented that evening will show the city is on budget for the 2017 year.
The meeting takes place in council chambers beginning at 5:30 p.m.
