Building numbers were down almost 50 percent in Quinte West last month, compared to March 2017.
Thirty-seven permits were issued last month at a value of more than $3.5 million, while 74 permits were issued in March 2017, with a value over $9.7 million.
It’s the slowest March for building over the past four years, with 61 permits issued in 2016 and 54 handed out in 2015.
To date, Quinte West has issued 126 permits valuing almost $13.8 million, while last year through the first three months of the year, 173 permits were issued at a value of close to $22 million.
