The road closure in South Marysburgh Ward is taking longer than expected.
The road will be re-opened for the weekend but will close again on Monday for the contractor to finish repairing the road after construction difficulties.
Maypul Layn was closed on Wednesday after a rock drill belonging to the contractor for the White Pines wind turbine project got bound up in the ground under the road.
The contractor had to dig out the drill.
The road was expected to be re-opened on Thursday evening but the contractor has since informed The County, more time is required to complete road repairs.
