A late third period goal by Nicholas Cirone has put the Wellington Dukes on the edge of elimination from the OJHL playoffs.
Cirone’s goal snapped a 2 all tie and gave the Newmarket Hurricanes a 3-2 victory and a 3-1 lead in the conference semi finals. Mitchell Martan and Colin Doyle scored for the Dukes.
Wellington outshot Newmarket 33-27.
Game 5 is tonight at 7:30 at the Essroc Arena.
