For the second year in a row, the Clarkson Golden Knights have won the NCAA Division 1 Women’s Hockey Championship in Minneapolis Minnesota.
Belleville’s Cassidy Vinkle, a graduate of St. Theresa Secondary School and the Belleville Bearcats, scored in Clarkson’s 2-1 overtime victory over Colgate. The Golden Knights won all 3 games in overtime.
Cassidy is in her junior year at Clarkson and an assistant captain with the Golden Knights. She scored 4 goals and 10 assists in 41 games this season.
