There’s something new for pedestrians in the subdivisions north of 401.
The City of Belleville has officially turned on the pedestrian crossing located along Maitland Drive and Hampton Ridge.
The crossing was installed to help residents get back and forth between Deerfield subdivision and Settlers Ridge subdivision.
The city says this is a new device in their inventory for pedestrian traffic management called a “Pedestrian Cross-Over Device”.
