The Belleville Police Service responded to 60 calls for service between March 17, 2018 at 5 a.m. and March 18, 2018 at 5 a.m.
Intoxicated persons
On March 17, 2018, at 2:06 p.m. police and paramedics attended on Craig Street in relation to a “groggy” teenaged girl. The 16-year-old youth was arrested for her own protection under the Liquor Licence Act. The investigation is continuing.
Arrest on warrants
On March 17, 2018, at 4:33 p.m. officers attended on Coleman Street to check on the welfare of a woman. It was revealed that the 38-year-old Belleville woman was wanted on outstanding warrants by the Belleville Police Service. The charges included breach of probation and failing to appear for court and fingerprints. She was held for a bail hearing on March 18, 2018.
Threats
On March 17, 2018, at 6:15 p.m. police arrested a 37-year-old Belleville man for threats. The charges stem from a March 16 incident. The man will appear in court on April 12, 2018.
RIDE Program
On March 17th, 2018, officers set up a RIDE program on Cannifton Parkway. One hundred sixty-eight cars were checked. Two motorists were warned about expired valtags. There were no roadside tests administered.
