Belleville Police Service responded to 42 calls for service from the March 13, 2018 at 5 a.m. to March 14, 2018 at 5 a.m.
Arrest on warrants
On the 13th of March at approximately 3 p.m. as a result of a traffic stop, a 25-year-old Thomasburg man was arrested on outstanding warrants that were being held by the Belleville Police Service. The warrants stemmed from an incident on March 1 at a north end motel where another male was assaulted by being punched and kicked repeatedly with steel-toed boots. The victim suffered minor injuries and was treated at Quinte Health Care at the time of the incident. An arrest warrant was issued for the suspect for assault with a weapon due to the steel-toed boots and uttering threats. He is currently being held for a show cause hearing on the 14th of March.
Breach of Undertaking
On the 13th of March at approximately 11:30 p.m. police responded to a call from a female in the ditch of Hwy #62 and Maitland Dr. crouching with her head in her hands. Upon police arrival she was identified as a 32-year-old Thurlow resident who had recently been released on bail after being charged with break and enter and uttering threats. She was found to be violating her conditions of not consuming alcohol and obeying a curfew. She is being held in custody for a show cause hearing on the 14th of March on two counts of breaching her undertaking.
