The crew from Veridian sent to help restore power in Connecticut are still on the ground.
A second nor’easter hit the region last Thursday, hampering efforts to restore power to more than 243,000.
The crew is working with Eversource and have helped with around the clock efforts to replace hundred of poles and string more than 110 miles of new overhead power lines.
Officials are keeping a close eye on a third storm that’s expected to hit the area tomorrow morning (Tuesday) bringing more snow and high winds.
Peter Petriw, Veridian’s Vice President of Engineering says the weather and working conditions have been extremely challenging but the crew is in good spirits. They are working hard to restore power as quickly and as safely as possible and their safety and well-being is the top priority.
The crew of seven linepersons arrived in Hartford on March 3.
