The Special Investigations Unit has cleared Central Hastings police officers of any wrong doing in an incident last month.
OPP officers were called to an apartment building on the night of February 2 for a domestic incident. Officers went to a second floor apartment but found the residence empty.
Prior to police arrival, a 25-year-old man had jumped from the second floor balcony to the ground below.
The next day the man was found by police and taken to the hospital with fractures to both ankles.
Director Tony Loparco says the man’s injuries were a result of jumping from a second floor balcony. As police did not cause or contribute to his injuries, the investigation was terminated.
