Bay of Quinte MP Neil Ellis is announcing a new program to coincide with International Women’s Day Thursday.
The Bay of Quinte Young Women In Leadership program will see young women from the region travel to various workplaces through the week of May 14 to 18 and shadow for the day with a local employer.
Ellis says the program will focus primarily on sectors and jobs that are viewed as “male dominated,” to show that young women are capable of achieving success in any career.
Women from Belleville, Quinte West and Prince Edward County, between the ages of 16 and 24, can apply by stopping by Ellis’s constituency office, or visiting the MP’s Facebook page, or official website.
Applications will be accepted through Monday, April 23.
