Quinte West Council is now back to its full complement of 13 members after Gary Quinn was officially appointed and sworn in on Monday night, replacing Rob McIntosh, who recently took a job with the Trent Port Marina.
Among his community involvement, Quinn has been a representative of the OurTMH group and has sat on the city’s Committee of Adjustment.
Quinn tells Quinte News, after finishing just three votes back of McIntosh in the last municipal election and joining the Our TMH group and the city’s Committee of Adjustment, he feels prepared to take on the role.
Quinn says since it’s already nearing the end of the current council term, he’s looking forward to gaining some more experience, as he prepares to run for re-election in October.
He added he’s been encouraged by all of the support from his peers, as he takes over his new role.
