Northumberland County has some work scheduled for this year that directly affects Brighton.
County CAO Jennifer Moore appeared in front of council on Monday night to touch on some highlights of their 2018 budget.
One project scheduled for this summer is the Loomis Bridge.
Mayor Mark Walas says the bridge is the responsibility of the County, but the road is the responsibility of the municipality.
Walas says an environmental assessment process will be undertaken followed by a public consultation.
Northumberland County’s budget for 2018 came in at $124.3 million, with a levy increase of 1.91 per cent.
