UPDATE @ 11:11 a.m.: Sale of land to MiniMax Express Transportation
The City of Belleville has sold another five acres of land in the new section of the city’s Northeast Industrial park.
The resolution was passed by council at a special meeting at City Hall on Thursday evening, following an in camera session.
On Friday, the city of Belleville announced in a release the sale of the land to MiniMax Express Transportation.
The company currently operates a 3,000 square-foot facility on University Avenue, but the new location will allow it to more than triple the building foot print.
This also results in 10 new full time employees, which brings staffing levels up to 25 in the city.
“The ability to find an affordable fully serviced and zoned parcel of land close to Highway 401 made the decision to grow our business in Belleville an easy one,” stated Yves Poirier, President of MiniMax Express.
Mayor Taso Christopher says this is a good news story.
He says the land is located to the east of FedEx on the north side of the extension.
