Northumberland OPP officers had a busy Family Day weekend.
Along with the Central Region Traffic Management and R.I.D.E. units, police laid a total
of 293 charges across Northumberland County over the long weekend.
Two hundred thirty-six of those charges were for speeding.
The focus was on inattentive and aggressive driving, impaired driving, and whether seatbelts were being used or not.
Police also patrolled trails checking snowmobilers.
