Chris Hadfield fans of all ages packed into the Empire Theatre last night to hear from a Canadian hero.
Col. Hadfield opened his show telling those in attendance he began his flying career here in Belleville and it brought back fond memories.
He told the story of where the name Canada came from as well as pulling out his guitar to treat the audience to a couple of songs.
Col. Hadfield has received the Order of Canada and spent over 150 days in the International Space Station in 2013 becoming the first Canadian astronaut to walk in space.
While in the military, he learned to fly various types of aircraft and eventually flew over 100 types of aircraft.
