The connection between the City of Quinte West and CFB Trenton has never been stronger according to Base Commander Colonel Mark Goulden.
The former Trenton High School graduate spoke to Quinte West council Tuesday to give an update on operations at 8 Wing and to restate the importance of keeping close ties between the municipal government and base management.
Mayor Jim Harrison echoed Colonel Goulden’s sentiment that the base is a crucial part of daily life in Quinte West.
Many councillors expressed their thanks to all members of the military, especially those at CFB Trenton, with Councillor Dave McCue calling 8 Wing “the heartbeat of Quinte West”.
