Respecting the tax payer and holding other politicians accountable, that’s the message Doug Ford brought with him to the city this evening (Tuesday).
In front of a full room of 100 or so people at the Core Centre, Ford told those in attendance he was going to clean out Queen’s Park from top to bottom.
He says they have one chance to make real change.
Ford says he was the one who led the charge when it came to axing the party’s stance to kill the carbon tax, calling his three opponents “Kathleen-lite”.
He says he will bring comprehensive change if elected the next leader of the Ontario Progressive Conservative Party.
Ford made reference to the $340 billion debt the province has amassed.
He also said the Green Energy Act is a scam and “that’s done”.
He says it’s killing businesses, and people need jobs here in Ontario. He wants to create a government that creates an environment for jobs.
Ford told the crowd he was raised to work his back off and blaze his own trail and that is exactly what he intends to do.
