The Quinte Economic Development Commission has heard that availability of transit is a major issue in the entire region when it comes to getting people to work.
Belleville Mayor Taso Christopher told the Commission meeting Tuesday that the industrial park “is a driving force” in the need for transit.
He said the city gets a “good return” on extended service and extended hours.
The Commission heard that transit availability is an important part of the job training program Elevate Plus as well.
