The Belleville Police Service responded to 53 calls for service between February 12th, 2018 at 5 a.m. and February 13th, 2018 at 5 a.m.
Motor Vehicle Collisions
On February 12th, 2018, police attended at six accidents throughout the city. Five of the accidents were deemed to be minor in nature.
At 7:50 p.m. police attended in the parking lot of a restaurant on North Front Street in relation to a two-car accident. The investigation revealed that a car had reversed over a parking curb into an adjacent car dealership lot where it struck a parked car. The driver, a 25-year-old Quebec woman, was not injured. A tow truck was required to free her vehicle from a snowbank. There were no charges as the accident occurred on private property.
Arrest on warrant
On February 12th, 2018, at 1:10 p.m. an 18-year-old Belleville man turned himself in on an outstanding warrant held by the Belleville Police Service. The charges included six counts of breach of probation under the Youth Criminal Justice Act. His name cannot be released. He will appear in court on March 6th, 2018.
