Things around the Belleville Senators have been abuzz about Chris Kelly being named captain for Team Canada’s men’s hockey team at the Pyeongchang Olympic games.
He is not the only connection for Belleville in South Korea however.
Bjorn Krupp played for the Belleville Bulls between 2008 and 2011. He got in 155 regular season games, picking up 26 points. Krupp is currently in the German hockey league, playing for Grizzlys Wolfsburg. He will play for Germany.
Meantime, Jan Mursak spent time with the Bulls during their Memorial Cup year in 2007-08. The former Detroit Red Wing had 38 points in 31 regular season games for the Bulls. The Slovenian is with HC Frolunda in the Swedish Elite League. He will play for Slovenia.
