Members of the Corporate and Financial Services Committee and Quinte West staff want the pool water at the Quinte West YMCA to remain some of the best water in Eastern Ontario.
Bob Forder, Manager of Facilities told the committee that he is recommending replacing and upgrading the pool’s UV light disinfection system.
The reason behind the recommendation is that the current system isn’t working correctly and needs to be fixed.
The replacement and repair has an estimated cost of $100,000.
This would be funded from the excess 2017 supplementary tax billings.
The committee approved the request and it will go forward to council for final approval.
