The process around the horseshoe in Quinte West when it came to this year’s grant approvals was an almost painless process.
There were a few discussions and questions raised as committee members tried to stay within their budget.
There was $356,000 approved of Grants to Others which included Kingston General Hospital, Loyalist College, the Trenton Food Bank and ourTMH.
Grants to Museums was approved for $97,000, which is the same as the previous year.
There were plenty of discussions in the category of Community Assistance Fund Applications, which had a budget of $50,000.
The committee ended up approving $48,438 in applications to come in under budget.
They also funded a request from the Quinte West Hawks Juvenile Team for $20,000 for the OHF Juvenile Hockey Championship.
The recommendations will next be seen by Quinte West council for final approval.
