A well-known member of the Quinte West community will be honoured by the city’s chamber of commerce this spring.
Mike Cowan will receive an honourary lifetime membership at the Quinte West Chamber of Commerce President’s Dinner and AGM on April 5, 2018.
Cown started his career with Fraser and O’Neil in 1976 and has been a school board trustee, member of the Trenton Rotary Club and Knights of Columbus and was also part of the original board that set up the Quinte West Medical Centre.
More recently, Cowan helped to found the Our TMH group, advocating for continued services at Trenton Memorial Hospital and was awarded a Canada 150 Medallion from MP Neil Ellis.
The honourary lifetime membership is awarded to local business people who give their time and expertise to help better the Quinte West community.
