The annual CFB Trenton Pond Hockey Classic got off to a great start Friday night, with the sold out gala dinner and auction. Tens of thousands of dollars were raised at the annual event, which goes to support Wounded Warriors Canada and the TMH Foundation

Former CFB Trenton Chief Warrant Officer Darcy Elder was one of the guest speakers. He talked about his battle with PTSD, from his time serving the country.
He adds that mental health issues affect not only service men and women, but everyone.

Former Defence Minister Peter MacKay was one of the guest speakers at the event. He talked about the amazing men and women who helped to change the landscape in Afghanistan.
MacKay says agriculture, education, irrigation and health care are all better in Afghanistan, thanks to service men and women.
