Building activity is off to a strong start for 2018 in Quinte West.
Last month, the city issued 43 permits, for a total value of $5.555 million.
That’s one less permit than January 2017, but the value is up 23%.
Sixteen of those permits were issued for single, detached homes, while last January only six of those permits were for single homes.
In total in 2017, Quinte West finished with almost $122 million in building activity, with 225 single-family homes.
