It is looking like the 2018 Batawa Pond Hockey Classic this weekend is going to be a huge success.
Organizer Jeffrey Moorhouse says the dinner/auction and the pond hockey tournament are already sold out.
Former Defence Minister Peter MacKay is one of the guest speakers, but Moorhouse says the other speaker has a connection to Quinte.
The auction includes an evening with Eugene Melnyk, owner of the Belleville and Ottawa Senators, in his private box at an NHL game.
Forty teams are in the tourney through the weekend.
There is also family fun from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, along with a pub crawl on Saturday night.
Funds raised are split between Wounded Warriors Canada and the Trenton Memorial Hospital Foundation
