The Ministry of the Environment has given a future homeless shelter in Belleville a very valuable piece of paper.
Spokesperson for the Grace Inn Shelter Jodie Jenkins says the MOE announced approval of the record of site application, for the site on Church Street in Belleville.
Jenkins says once they get permits, they’ll be able to start some demolition of the interior.
He adds that the drawings are also close to completion.
It’s expected to cost $330,000 to transform the former Irish Hall into the homeless shelter.
