The Quinte West Fire Department is adding another piece of equipment to their fleet.
Fire Chief John Whelan obtained the okay to purchase a six passenger side by side ATV on Tuesday night at the Protective Services Committee meeting.
He says this will be a vital addition to the Bayside Hall as the ATV can get places a fire truck might not be able to.
The cost the ATV came in just under $16,000.
Of the seven stations in Quinte West, he says five stations have an ATV.
