A 16-year-old boy has been charged, after a local high school was placed in a secure and hold Wednesday afternoon.
Belleville Police received a call just before 2 p.m., regarding a student who allegedly had a weapon in Moira Secondary.
When officers arrived on scene, the student was said to have left the scene.
Police say the boy was apprehended about 30 minutes later and charged.
He is facing a weapons dangerous charge.
The investigation continues.
