The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation has issued the third quarter cheque to the City of Belleville, for hosting the Shorelines Casino.
The city is getting a little more than $736,000 for the October-to-December period of the 2017/18 fiscal year.
That brings the total amount the city has earned from the casino, during its first calendar year in operation, to just under $2.8 million.
Sixty-five per cent of money that comes from the casino payments goes towards infrastructure maintenance, with 10% going towards economic development.
Fiver per cent each will be sent to accounts for land acquisition, vehicle and equipment replacement, social infrastructure, disaster mitigation and a general contingency fund.
