A 38-save, 1st star goaltending performance from Carson Poulin and some heroics from Max Ewart were the keys for the Trenton Golden Hawks in a 3-2 come-from-behind victory over the Oakville Blades on Wednesday night.
The G-Hawks were down 2-0 late in the second period before newcomer Chris Karabassis scored his first goal in a Trenton uniform to start the comeback.
Steven Elliott tied the game on a powerplay over halfway through the third, then assisted on Ewart’s game winner, his team-leading 19th goal of the season with 3:41 left in regulation.
Karabassis, Tiger McDonald and Rex Moe added the other assists.
The Golden Hawks are on the road to Lindsay Friday to face the Muskies at 7:30 p.m.
