After helping Canada win a Spengler Cup in Switzerland over the holidays, Belleville Senators forward Chris Kelly has been named to the 25 man roster, chasing gold at the upcoming Winter Olympics in South Korea.
Kelly, who was signed to his second pro tryout with Belleville after the Spengler Cup, has amassed a career total 289 points in 833 NHL games and won a Stanley Cup with the Boston Bruins in 2011.
He’s played in almost 250 AHL games, registering 131 points and has played 10 games with Belleville this season.
Players on Canada’s roster have skated in a combined 5,544 NHL games and have won close to 20 trophies at the international and club levels.
