There’s a common goal shared amongst the Quinte region’s smaller more rural communities and that is to improve infrastructure to allow for more residential and commercial development.
The mayor of the Municipality of Tweed, Jo-Anne Albert, says there is definitely interest from developers in building in the community but they’ve got to increase the sewage treatment capacity.
Mayor Albert says both provincial and federal politicians are aware of Tweed’s need for financial help to allow for more development and she and council are optimistic they can get started on the sewage treatment project sometime this year.
