It is cold and we almost had a new low temperature record in the Quinte region.
According to readings taken at CFB Trenton the mercury dipped to minus 24.3 degrees Celsius yesterday.
The record low in our area for a January 5 is minus 25.2, set in 1996.
Today’s record low is minus 30.6 set in 1945.
