OPP have charged a Quebec man with careless driving in an incident that led to major delays along the 401 earlier this week near Kingston.
Police say on Thursday around 8:50 a.m. officers were called to the westbound 401 near Gardiner’s Road for a tractor trailer in the median.
OPP say the transport with a double trailer lost control and went through the south steel barriers before coming to rest in the median on its side.
The accident caused lumber to spill into the eastbound lanes causing delays.
The 53-year-old driver sustained only minor injuries.
As the result of an investigation, the OPP has charged Sylvain April with careless driving.
The accused will appear in court at a later date.
