An OPP officer suffered minor injuries after a driver struck them while attempting to flee from a traffic stop.
Quinte West OPP say around 5:30 last night (Wednesday) they received a report of a dangerous driver.
Officers were able to locate the vehicle but as officers approached, the driver sped away and hit one of the police officers.
Police say the vehicle was able to evade police because of the poor road conditions and heavy commuter traffic.
The vehicle was later located abandoned on the shoulder of the 401 west of Napanee.
A search by officers and the K9 Unit were unsuccessful.
The officer was treated for minor injuries.
