If you’ve been conscious and around the Quinte region for the past few weeks this news will come as no surprise to you.
The month of December was colder and featured more snow than a usual December in our area.
Last month the average high was minus 2.9 degree celsius. The normal average high for a December is plus 1 degree.
The average low last month was minus 11.5 degrees. The usual low is minus 7.6.
Meanwhile, we received a total of 41.5 cm of snow last month, above the December normal of 36.5 cm.
However, the 53.2 mm of total precipitation we got last month was well below the usual 79 mm.
