The Trenton Golden Hawks didn’t end the calendar year of 2017 on the right note in Whitby, losing 5-1 to the Fury.
Trenton fell behind 4-0 before the halfway mark of the game and couldn’t recover.
Max Ewart scored an unassisted shorthanded goal for the Golden Hawks.
Carson Poulin and Will Rawski split the action in net.
The G-Hawks are back in action for their first game of 2018 Wednesday on home ice versus the Aurora Tigers at 7:30 p.m.
