Savings from switching to OPP policing from a municipal police service is making Stirling-Rawdon more attractive to developers and business people.
Mayor of Stirling-Rawdon, Rodney Cooney, says 2018 is going to be a busy one and he credits good municipal staff and especially the department heads for paving the way for growth.
Mayor Cooney hopes future councils will be able to keep local tax increases very low because of less money having to be spent for policing.
